IMOGEN BELFIELD FOR MADE UK

Imogen Belfield is set to collaborate with the ethical jewellery company MADE UK

Watch the MADE film here...

We are very excited to reveal that Imogen will be traveling to Kenya in June to work on a new collection in collaboration with MADE UK. A fashion accessories brand who uses ethical and fairtrade principles to promote trade in Kenya. Imogen discusses the collaboration saying:

“It is incredibly exciting to have been approached by MADE. They are an inspirational company, with a fashion forward mind set, creating stunning jewellery. I’m very excited about the prospect being able to explore the local markets, sourcing glass, beads and fabrics, all of which may play a part in the inspiration jewellery collection we shall be making.”

Imogen will work with MADE artisans directly creating jewellery which will be ethically sourced and sustainable. The time in Nairobi will allow Imogen to work with the MADE in-house design team and highly skilled artisans, learning their skills and sharing her own. The Imogen Belfield for Made collection will include such techniques casting, weaving, braiding and knotting which will be handcrafted in the MADE workshop in Nairobi

“The chance to be involved with such a dynamic and worthy company as Made is a dream to me, and I can’t wait to start creating a jewellery collection that resonates the moral message of ethically sourced and sustainable jewellery.”  Imogen Belfield

The collection is due to be launched in the UK in July 2013

"The Rock Vault Dozen is the first incentive illustrating how this extraordinary platform for emerging, British-based jewellery talent can embrace and collaborate with the ever changing economics of the industry. Palladium, an ancient metal with newly acquired precious status, therefore new to many, is introduced to the consumer through the creative genius of the designers within Rock Vault. BFC, the panel and the International Palladium Board are very excited by the exceptional level of creativity generated by the RVD and look forward to the unveiling during the upcoming LFW.” - Stephen Webster, Curator of Rock Vault
